If you have a 1MT drive centre but a 2MT lathe, you won’t be able to use them together unless you use the 2MT to 1MT sleeve (MTS21). 2MT tools can be used in 3MT lathes with the 2MT to 3MT sleeve (MTS32). It is based on The Planet Standard Duty Rotating Centre and incorporates the twin high-quality deep groove ball-bearing races. It is also very useful for spindle turning, where there is a danger of the centre point splitting the stock. A removable 60-degree centre point is included for general turning operations.

The Set comprises:

• Hollow Rotating Centre
• Removable nose cone for use as a standard rotating centre
• 325mm long centring rod for lining up the centre of a workpiece when the point is removed.

The Rotur Finial Mandrel is a unique product that fits into the tail stock and offers support for the fine end of a finial. This allows you to turn to a very small diameter without snapping or bending the workpiece. Included are 3 Delrin inserts with 3mm, 4.5mm, and 6mm holes. These can be changed depending on the size of the Finial being turned. They fit into the inner race of the free-running bearing in the mandrel body.  The inserts can be drilled out or modified to suit your requirements. Spare sets of inserts is also available (FIS1).

Quickly and easily make light pulls with the Rotur Light Pull Drive Kit.  The blank only needs to be drilled once thanks to the stepped drill bit. The knot in the string can then fit inside the light pull.

Drill the blank just over halfway through with the widest part of the stepped drill bit. Then slide the blank over the Stepped friction drive and support the other end with a pointed live centre, but don’t overtighten. The Rotur Deluxe Rotating Centre is ideal for this. Turn the blank at a high speed and finish.
